Feudalism 2.0

Between 1780 and 1830, in much of Europe, the so-called Ancien Regime was destroyed. Since it had long been the spinal column of traditional Europe, its destruction had far reaching consequences. The social and economic primacy of the nobility was terminated.

Of Europe’s 200 million inhabitants around 1800, a minute percentage consisted of nobles. In 1789, there were 400,000 nobles in France (1.5% of the population) and in 1810, half a million in Spain (five percent of the population). Overall, the nobility constituted perhaps two percent of Europe’s total population. Many of those nobles resided in sumptuous dwellings (palaces) in the countryside, but there were many poor nobles as well, trying to keep up appearances. Most Europeans were peasants working the lands of their noble overlords.

With industrialization gaining speed, the demand rose for people with special skills. Thus, both the modern industrial proletariat and the middle classes were born. In France around 1860, the middle class accounted for between twelve and fifteen percent of the population, growing to almost half by 1980. This same pattern can be observed all over Europe, to the point where at the beginning of the 21^st Century perhaps a majority of Europeans would consider themselves “middle class.”

Apparently, in the eyes of Europe’s ruling elites, the middle classes had become too unwieldy and too difficult to manage. During the 1980s and 1990s, European regimes initiated policies intended to break down the middle class and eventually to create a two-class society. Taxes were consistently increased and raises in wages and salaries were curtailed. Whereas during the 1980s and 1990s it was still possible for a family to live on the one salary of the traditional breadwinner, this is no longer possible in 2026. Today, almost nowhere in the EU can a young couple buy a house and start a family, even if they both have well-paid jobs. At the same time all over Europe, BlackRock and other investment companies are massively buying urban property, driving up rental prices. According to official data, in 2025 one in five of the EU’s 450 million inhabitants was “at risk of poverty or social exclusion.” This means 90 million people in the EU are living below the poverty line.

During the last decades of the 20^th century, European regimes have begun to dismantle the entire educational system, including elementary schools, high schools and tertiary institutions, by consistently lowering standards and requirements across the board. Until the mid-1980s, perhaps at most ten percent of high school graduates would go to college, as a reflection of the fact that, as a rule less than ten percent of the population has an IQ of 120 or higher. According to the official EU statistics agency, Eurostat, some 42% of young people (the cohort of 24-35 years of age) in Europe had a degree from a university or its equivalent. This simple statistic indicates that academic standards must have been significantly lowered all over the EU. I am afraid that most 21st-century university graduates believe they have accomplished something worthwhile, whereas of course, they have merely been awarded a degree of questionable value.

Why would a responsible ruling elite decide to make significant portions of the population poorer and more stupid? A plausible explanation might be the spread of alarmist pessimism in “enlightened” and “progressive” circles, triggered by the Club of Rome and its first Report published in 1972. This was the first manifestation of what has since grown into the full-blown mental disorder of climate lunacy that is doing so much to destroy the remnants of civilized life in Europe and elsewhere. Collective lunacies have taken possession of so many in Europe and the West that it has become difficult to find people with an open mind and a rational stance on climate, carbon dioxide and nitrogen emissions, “fossil” fuels, chemtrails, wokeism and gender lunacy. One can safely say the European collective mind has fallen prey to a set of beliefs that only half a century ago would warrant being sent to a mental asylum.

It seems that most adherents of the various doomsday lunacies are from the middle classes. After all, they have the time and resources. The proles from the underclass lack the money and need to make ends meet. In their zeal to “make the world a better place” or “to save the planet”, to stave off looming disasters and to do the right thing, all those middle-class dupes fail to realize they are actually helping to take down the very pillars on which their life and civilization are built!

It has also been pointed out that many of those typical PC middle class do-gooders are women. This is hardly astonishing, since it is becoming increasingly apparent that the modern West may actually be a gynecocracy, if not politically, then at least socially. Without realizing it, the PC do-gooders are playing a key role in the planned destruction of Western culture according to the Globalist playbook, which, of course also comprises gender lunacy under the “Pride” heading. The meek collaboration of the PC middle class during the Great Covid Show has made it absolutely clear they can be relied on to further break down the edifice.

Education has been destroyed, the nuclear family is becoming a rarity, the legal system is utterly corrupted, science has been replaced by faith (a set of PC beliefs), medicine has been buried by the Great Covid Show, trust in the government is decreasing more each day. Since 2015, hordes of barbarians are being allowed into the EU and other Western nations, so as to help destroy education, public safety, and society in general. Billions upon billions of public funds are being siphoned off to the Ukraine and faraway barbarian nations. Public services (power, water, public transport, roads) are being intentionally destroyed through neglect, budget cuts and other nefarious policies.

The Globalist plan can be summarized as the return to a full-blown feudal system.

Under Ancien Regime feudalism, over eighty percent of the population lived in the countryside and worked the land, with perhaps ten to fifteen percent living in cities, performing useful tasks. Of course, there was the clergy as well, the “second estate,” without which society could not function.

Under the feudal system such as it is currently being built, there will be no peasants nor clergy. Ninety percent of the population will be forced to live in “15-minute cities” where supposedly everything they need is within fifteen minutes of walking or cycling. The countryside will be off-limits, having become “rewilded” to a great extent. Farming will be largely automated, and much of the food for the urban masses locked up in the 15-minute cities will be produced in giant laboratories. These will turn out anything ranging from “fish” and “eggs” to succulent “steaks.”

Tucked away safely in small apartments with only basic, dull furniture and no bookshelves, indeed without any distinctive, personal features (no more private property!) the members of the new universal underclass will be under total, 24/7 supervision and control. Life will be very much like the one described by George Orwell in 1984.

There will be internet and social media, subjected to the strictest of controls. No “hate speech,” no forbidden words (the list of forbidden words will be continuously extended, for ever reducing the permitted vocabulary), no criticism of the new Globalist upper class. Eventually, normal everyday conversation will disappear. With any word or expression, tone of voice, pause and pronunciation being potentially interpreted as hate speech or criticism, any form of verbal communication will be hazardous. No more sarcasm, no more irony, no more humor.

On the giant screens in their apartments, people will be able to watch movies and see the outside world. Travel will no longer be permitted, so if they want to see the Grand Canyon or Paris, they can watch a video on their giant screen, or for a fuller experience, use some 3-d device. They will still be able and permitted to download books, but these will be strictly censored. Sensitive or forbidden passages will have been removed without leaving any trace. Most people will have become so dumbed down that they won’t even notice, let alone object or protest. It is indeed very well possible that, as the WEF confidently states: they “will own nothing and be happy!”

In their luxurious dwellings, well-protected against any sort of intrusion by the proles, the Globalist elite will lead pleasant, comfortable lives, live longer, eat better food and travel. Unlike their Ancien Regime predecessors, they won’t need servants from the underclass, since they will have an endless array of robots for every imaginable task. Thus, they will have hardly any contact with the proles from the 15-minute cities.

The Globalist elites see themselves as the new aristocracy, but unlike the Ancien Regime aristocracy it is one without principles, morals and common decency. As a rule, along with the clergy, the nobility of yore believed it was the intermediary between God and the common people, and therefore was carrying a heavy responsibility.

The current ruling Globalist elite have only one value: money, which is just too narrow a foundation for a civilization. At the same time, this fundamental weakness will shorten the lifespan of the new Globalist feudalism.
